Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 July 2026

Welcome to Svādhyāya. These terms are an agreement between you and Svādhyāya (“we”, “us”) for your use of the app at www.svadhyay.info and app.svadhyay.info. Please read them. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Svādhyāya is a free self-study manager that helps students plan their time, record study sessions and track progress toward goals. We may add, change or remove features over time.

2. Who can use it

The app is intended for students. If you are a minor under the age at which you can agree to online services on your own in your country, you may use Svādhyāya only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

3. Your account

4. Acceptable use

Please use Svādhyāya only for its intended purpose. You agree not to:

5. Your content

Your study data — your subjects, sessions, schedule and profile — belongs to you. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and process it solely to operate the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you enter.

6. Our intellectual property

The Svādhyāya app, its name, logo, design and underlying software are owned by us and protected by law. These terms don't give you any right to use our branding except as needed to use the app normally.

7. Availability

We work to keep Svādhyāya available and reliable, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

8. Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Svādhyāya is a study aid — it does not guarantee any particular academic result.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Because the app is provided free of charge, our total liability is limited accordingly.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Svādhyāya at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the app in a way that could harm others or the service.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. We'll update the “Last updated” date, and for significant changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts having jurisdiction there.
